Location: Buttershaw / hybrid working with regular regional travel to Yorkshire Water sites 


Work type: Permanent. 37 hours per week, Monday – Friday.  

 
We have an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Reliability Engineer to join the Strategic Maintenance Planning Team at Yorkshire Water and be a part of helping Yorkshire Water to provide the best service to our customers. Could this be you?

As an Electrical Reliability Engineer, within the Strategic Maintenance Planning Team, you will help ensure that all operational assets have appropriate maintenance plans to ensure reliability, resilience and sustainability and ensure they fulfil customer and stakeholder expectations. This is achieved by applying the right maintenance at the right time to secure cost efficient asset reliability. 

   
Where you fit in: 

As an Electrical Reliability Engineer, within the Strategic Maintenance Planning Team, you will help ensure that all operational assets have appropriate maintenance plans to ensure reliability, resilience and sustainability and ensure they fulfil customer and stakeholder expectations. This is achieved by applying the right maintenance at the right time to secure cost efficient asset reliability. 

You will: 

•    Be responsible for developing, implementing and optimising asset specific electrical equipment maintenance strategies and overall asset technical practices and standards in line with requirements from the Principal Electrical Engineer
•    Monitor and report on the effectiveness of the asset preventative maintenance program for electrical assets
•    Compile and maintain asset criticality and equipment risk registers
•    Be the Instrumental lead in reviewing electrical assets maintenance performance and reliability data to identify critical assets/risks to the business and instigate RCA’s for short, medium, and long-term issue resolution.
•     Develop, implement and maintain key reliability improvement processes across the YW electrical Assets – including RCM, Criticality Analysis, RCFA investigation & resolution of worst performing/costly equipment
•    Provide documented evidence of improvements and savings and highlighting risk to the Business


What skills & qualifications you will need: 


•    Degree in Electrical Engineering
•    Relevant Electrical maintenance experience
•    Significant knowledge and application of reliability improvement techniques and practices
•    Broad experience with electrical equipment maintenance
•    Extensive experience of, and proficiency in the use of, Computer Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS, e.g. SAP S4) to develop reliability reports and the analysis of this data
•    Experience of supporting and embedding change

•    Ability to communicate effectively at multiple levels and departments within the organisation
•    Proficiency in excel
•    Current valid driving licence and flexibility to travel across the Yorkshire region
•    Water Industry experience

 
We embrace a flexible working model, where our hybrid setup typically requires an average of 2 days in the office per week. This could be slightly more when collaborative efforts, training or meeting deadlines demand it. For those who prefer to work on-site, our office is open Monday-Friday during working hours.
