  • Salary: £24,309 per annum

Location: Hybrid- the successful candidate will need to be able to travel around Yorkshire and attend head office which is currently based in Bradford with a move to Leeds in Summer 2026.

Your duties will include but are not limited to: 

 

 

During your University Day release you will be learning about computer aided analysis, thermodynamics, dynamics and vibration which will aid you in carrying out the following duties on our sites: 

 

 

  • Site visits to sites all over Yorkshire which includes working with a variety of operational teams and developing an understanding of the different processes and technologies used.  
  • Working on a variety of projects including maintenance design and assurance to projects that are investigating complex problems. 
  • Carrying out site and equipment inspections  
  • Working alongside contractors to effectively plan, design and deliver maintenance activities across sites.  
  • Working towards regulations and alongside regulators to maintain compliance.  

 

 

What you will study: 

 

 

The successful Apprentice will study the Level 6 Product Design and Development Engineer standard which is a specialist Mechanical Engineering Apprenticeship. This will be delivered via Sheffield Hallam University on a blended learning approach of lectures on campus weekly and self-study. This is a minimum of a 4 year study programme, 3 years studying the degree and the final academic year for end point assessment. For further information, please visit the link below:

What skills & qualifications you will need: 

 

 

  • To hold 5 GCSEs or equivalent grade 4 and above/ A-C including English, Mathematics & a Science Subject 
  • To hold or be predicted 3 A-levels at grade C and above including Mathematics. 
  • To hold a minimum of 112 UCAS points  
  • A full UK driving licence with the ability to drive your own car for work purposes  
  • A well organised individual who can take ownership of their own learning  
  • An ability and willingness to work at heights and in confined spaces post training.
