Role overview

In this role, you will work closely with the Internal Communications Team Leader to provide a central framework which will enable the delivery of effective, creative and engaging communications, whilst developing our channels to maximise engagement and drive co-creation across the business to share insight and provide opportunity for feedback.

You will be responsible for developing our central communications channels to ensure that they are appropriate, effective, measurable and engaging when sharing messages with our colleagues. This will include content, delivery method and technological/digital considerations as appropriate.

As an Internal Communications Advisor, you will also be expected to develop the teams’ ability to ensure colleagues hear the right message, at the right time in the right way, whilst demonstrating the ability to work across the business with people at all levels to support communication needs and  ensure that the communication of departmental strategies align with key business messages.
 


What skills are we looking for?

Essential:

  • A background within an internal communications environment having experience of managing and developing internal communications channels, processes and activities
  • An ability to create content that colleagues want to engage with and ability to utilise this content to build relationships and create advocacy
  • Ability to understand or develop understanding of audience needs, motivations, environment and perspectives
  • Effective and confident presenter and communicator, with experience of presenting and engaging a wide range of audiences with strong interpersonal and communications skills
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritise and deliver high quality work against challenging timescales
  • Able to influence and encourage managers at all levels to take responsibility and ownership for communications

 

Desirable:

  • Proven track record of delivering projects, initiatives and campaigns on time and within budget
  • Previous experience of developing and implementing cultural insight through segmentation
  • Skills in video filming, editing, and use of Adobe Creative Cloud.
