Location: Hybrid working – mixture of home and Leeds based with site visits across Yorkshire

Our Assurance and Improvements team within Water Production are a key part of how we plan to meet the changing expectations of customers and regulators working closely with operational teams to support them delivering improvements, consistently across Yorkshire’s Water Treatment Works.
Where you fit in:
As our Water Assurance and Improvements Lead you will:
- Be a point of contact for the department to obtain meaningful data in a consistent format which identifies performance in full and aligns with PEX processes.
- Review and provide data to various sources that will assist in sustainable improvements in both performance and compliance supporting AGM and Clean Water projects.
- Provides consistent interpretation of data and presents in a way that is easily understood by the business.
- Support Performance Commitment processes and annual reporting requirements of UPO.
- Support in Root Cause Analysis data review, lessons learnt and sharing of Best Practice.
- Utilising subject matter experts, support with reviewing and identifying common themes in failures (H&S/Environmental/Water Quality) and share this learning across Water Production.
- Support Water Production with ongoing training and development requirements, developing templates, guides and training materials as well as liaising with the Academy.
- Lead initiatives to enhance the policies, procedures and business processes within Water Production utilising subject matter experts in Process Safety, Chemicals, Pressure vessels, Reservoir Safety and Seasonal Readiness.
- Completion of onsite audits to gain operational insight.
- Coordinate the reviewing of IMS operational procedures with subject matter experts.
- Facilitate process improvement workshops and forums.
- Support with develop and assure consistency and accuracy of process documentation and adherence.
- Identify new and innovative ways of working which lead to improved performance of Water Production
- Work as part of the team to deliver excellent performance by understanding how their individual performance links into achieving the team’s wider objectives.
- Drive excellent standards and performance in Health, Safety and Environmental compliance.
- Demonstrate relentless drive, energy and determination to deliver sustainable outperformance for YW that rigorously achieves our vision.
What skills & qualifications you will need:
- An understanding of Clean Water Operations.
- Experience of working with large volumes of data
- Excellent understanding with using Excel
- Strong health and safety knowledge, experience, and skills.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage your own workload effectively
- Good attention to detail
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong problem solving skills
- A people person who is able to engage effectively at all levels
- Strong cross departmental team working skills
- Great liaison and coordination abilities
- A full, valid driving license
You will also benefit from having:
- Analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and identify trends.
- Experience of SAP/AGM
- Understanding of Power BI
- The ability to influence and drive improvements through effective communication
