Location: This role will initially be based in Bradford but we’re moving our office to Leeds Valley Park in summer 2026, so you’ll be based there in the future - Hybrid Working (2 days in the office a week – Bradford/Leeds) 

 


Work type: Permanent. 37 hours per week, Monday – Friday.

We're looking for a talented Solution Architect to play a pivotal role in designing and shaping enterprise-scale solutions across our Azure ecosystem. Combining expertise in integration architecture, APIs and Azure cloud services , you'll help deliver secure, scalable and resilient solutions that drive business transformation. Working closely with stakeholders, engineering teams and platform specialists, you'll translate complex business needs into innovative technical solutions, championing API-led and event-driven architecture principles. You'll also help drive the adoption of emerging AI capabilities, ensuring AI-powered solutions are implemented in a secure, governed and strategic way using Azure AI technologies. As our Solution Architect – Integration & AI you will: 

 

 

  • Partner with business stakeholders, solution architects and delivery teams to understand business needs and translate them into innovative, future-ready solution designs. 
  • Design, shape and govern scalable, secure and highly available solutions using Microsoft Azure technologies, ensuring they meet both current and future business demands. 
  • Drive the adoption of AI-powered capabilities by integrating Azure AI services into solutions, ensuring they are secure, compliant, observable and aligned with governance standards. 
  • Play an active role in architecture forums and design authorities, championing best practice and contributing to the continuous evolution of architectural standards and frameworks. 
  • Promote and embed API-led and event-driven architecture principles across programmes, enabling seamless connectivity, scalability and reusability. 
  • Provide expert technical leadership and guidance to engineering teams, supporting the successful delivery of robust, high-quality solutions. 
  • Define, establish and uphold governance standards across APIs, integrations and platform services, ensuring consistency, reliability and security. 
  • Lead and support the transformation of legacy integration platforms, driving the transition to modern, cloud-native Azure integration solutions that enhance agility and performance. 
  • Act as a trusted technical advisor, influencing strategic technology decisions and helping shape the organisation's cloud and integration roadmap. 

 


What skills & qualifications you will need: 

 

 

  • Proven experience as a Solution Architect within a Microsoft Azure environment.  
  • Strong knowledge of integration architecture, API design and messaging patterns. 
  • Experience designing secure, scalable and resilient cloud-based architectures.  
  • Hands-on experience with Azure services such as Functions, Logic Apps, Service Bus and API Management.  
  • Working knowledge of C#, Python, particularly for automation, integration or AI-enabled solutions. 
  • A key understanding of Databricks and modern data architectures.  
  • Experience integrating Power Platform solutions through APIs and enterprise integration patterns. 
  • Experience with Agile, DevOps, CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code.  
  • A strong understanding of security, identity, access management and data protection.  
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills.  
  • Familiarity with the Microsoft Well-Architected Framework and best practice architecture governance.
