PMO Coordinator – SMART Metering

The Water Service Delivery Team consists of Yorkshire Water (YW) colleagues, consultants, contract partners both in the direct procurement arena and capital programme delivery enterprise model, all working collaboratively to deliver the capital programme for the Water Service side of the business.

 

This role will provide project administration support to all teams within Water Service Delivery. This includes Financial SAP functionality and access data from Asset Inventory, Engineering Document Management System (EDMS), Business Risk Management (BRM), Direct Procurement (ARIBA), Programme Prioritisation Management System (PPMS), and corporate data management systems etc., The role also includes the production and control of financial reporting documentation.

As our PMO Coordinator you will

 

  • Follow corporate governance procedures for assisting with project funding authorisations, through to asset settlement and project closure.
  • Assist scheme progress update meetings, set agendas, take minutes, and create, update, and maintain action, risk, and issues logs.
  • Support the delivery team by administering the project management financial system and producing governance approval information.
  • Analyse and capture project out performance and cycle times and report this information to the Business Programme Manager, and Water Service Delivery management team.
  • Support communication activities, such as presentations (APB/BIC) etc., dissemination of key information to vendors, training/testing events, and team building events.
  • Collate project completion asset handover data from the delivery team and disseminate this information to the relevant parties in a timely manner to achieve financial closure of the scheme.
  • Develop effective communication skills to enable excellent liaison with the wider business functions, interacting with Asset Integrity, Asset Planning, Asset Programme Management & Finance Business Partnering (Assets), Service Delivery and Contract Partners.
  • To provide co-ordination and control of CAPEX/OPEX projects with the responsible managers/team leaders.

 

What skills & qualifications you will need:

 

  • Experience of projects, partnership working and financial management.
  • Experience of developing and maintaining effective internal and external relationships.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to proactively ser-manage own workload whilst maintaining effective operational relationships.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, ability to work across all levels and functions.
  • Experience of and proficiency of financial systems such as SAP/BRM/PPMS/ARIBA.
  • Analytical and reporting skills; with experience in interrogating corporate systems, analysing & interpreting data.
  • Current valid driving licence and flexibility to travel across the Yorkshire region.
  • Knowledge and ability to use Microsoft Office products i.e., Office 365 – Word, Excel, Power Point, SharePoint, and Visio.

 

You will also benefit from having:

 

  • Previous experience in a commercially orientated and/or regulated environment.
  • Previous experience gained within the water or wastewater sectors or within the broader utilities, process, or manufacturing industry sectors.
  • Previous experience of customer management and providing customer services through verbal and electronic interfaces.
  • Previous experience of ISO55000/PAS 55 Quality Assurance Systems.

 

We embrace a flexible working model, where our hybrid setup typically requires an average of 1-2 days in the office per week. This could be slightly more when collaborative efforts, training or meeting deadlines demand it. For those who prefer to work on-site, our office is open Monday-Friday during working hours.
