We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Relationship Manager to join the Customer Experience team at Yorkshire Water and be a part of helping Yorkshire Water to provide the best service to our customers. Could this be you?

Since April 2017, non-household customers in England have the option to change their water and sewerage retailer in the same way as customers can do for gas and electricity. This is a great opportunity to be involved in Yorkshire Waters Wholesale Market Team, the non-household world and contribute to excellent wholesale performance in the market.

 

Where you fit in:

 

This is a really exciting opportunity to join a high performing team within Yorkshire Water’s Customer Experience function in a brand new role, leading a brand new team.

 

As our Senior Relationship Manager you will –

 

•    Oversee new and existing wholesale contracts, bulk supply agreements and variations between Yorkshire Water, non-household retailers and New Appointments & Variations (NAVs) for the provision of wholesale and bulk supply services.
•    Manage relationships with a number of internal stakeholders to ensure strategies are in place to drive performance improvement with a particular focus on R-MeX, the non-household retailer measure of experience
•    Ensure effective strategy is in place and adhered to so commercial, business to business agreements and relationships are managed in positive, commercial and compliance focused manner to achieve business objectives and targets
•    Manage risks and issues relating to the respective commercial agreements, escalating to senior stakeholders accordingly
•    Lead a small team of specialists responsible for providing excellent relationship management to both retailers and NAVs
•    Represent Yorkshire Water at various industry forums to gain insight to upcoming change and influence direction of non-household and NAV markets
•    Travel will be required for face to face retailer and NAV visits, this may involve overnight stays – driving licence required with no more than 6 points


 
What skills & qualifications you will need:

 

•    Previous experience of contract management  
•    Excellent influencing, negotiating and communication skills 
•    Ability to build effective business to business relationships
•    Previous experience of developing strategy and ensuring this meets customer needs and requirements
•    Ability to understand complex regulations and communicate them in simple terms
•    Strong stakeholder management skills (internal and external of all levels)

•    Good understanding of relevant legislation especially Water Act and Market Codes
•    An understanding of commercial finance
