Where I’d work: This role will initially be based in Bradford but we’re moving our office to Leeds Valley Park in summer 2026, so you’ll be based there in the future. There will hybrid working in place, with an expectation to be in the office 3 x days per week.
Work type: Permanent. Working full time, 37 hours per week, Monday – Friday between a working window of 8:00am-6:00pm.

Where you fit in:
As our Senior People Partner you will work in partnership with leaders, key stakeholders and People colleagues to shape, develop and deliver people plans and solutions in line with the needs and priorities of the organisation.
You will be a key strategic partner to Executive members in all aspects of their departmental people strategies, this role will:
•Lead and drive an understanding of workforce plans, talent requirements and succession plans and ensure alignment of organisation and people initiatives ensuring all contribute to improved performance and productivity and support the creation of a high performing workforce
•Provide People SME guidance and support throughout all stages of a change including employee relations support and advice; engagement; impact and implementation
•Promote a positive engagement culture; promote EDI/inclusivity; Peakon support; Talking Performance support
•Leverage data and insights to drive improved and proactive decision making; identify trends and areas for improvement
•Develop, nurture and maintain strong industrial relations
•Act as a trusted advisor, positive disruptor and critical friend to relevant Executive members, helping them drive their departmental goals and outcomes
•Lead on key strategic projects on behalf of the People function and / or within directorates
What skills & qualifications are we looking for?
• Extensive business partnering experience including Trade Union engagement
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, with strong interpersonal/influencing skills
• Effective communication and presentation skills
• Previous experience of working within a complex and ambiguous business environment
• Experienced in building and delivering strategic People Plans
• Strong IT skills, ideally previous experience of SAP
• Previous experience of working in the utilities sector would be desirable
