We are currently looking for a Resource & Asset Planning Team Leader to join our Customer Experience function. 
 

This is a temporary opportunity for 12 x months, working full time, 37 hours per week on a shift pattern between the working hours of 6:00am till 10:00pm and Monday to Sunday.

Where you fit in:
 

As our Resource & Asset Planning Team Leader, you will manage and lead a team of Schedulers and deliver an effective and efficient management of the scheduling/planning, coordination, and allocation to service delivery functions. 
 

You will lead the team to provide a highly valued service to both internal and external customers, creating personal development plans and training strategies to drive world class performance in scheduling and provide coaching and support in developing relationships across Customer Field Services and Customer Experience.
 

Furthermore, you will ensure scheduling, planning, coordination and allocation of business processes are robust and consistently adhered to throughout the team.


 Some of the key responsibilities of the role are as follows -  
 

•    Lead the team to deliver excellent performance by setting clear expectations linked to business targets, having meaningful performance discussions that recognise and reward right performance and behaviours and challenges where individual performance and behaviours do not meet expectations
•    Drive excellent standards and performance in health and safety, risk management and control of work and ensure compliance with the Yorkshire Water Safety Policy
•    Ensure efficient validation in resource optimisation, asset optimisation and customer care through effective jeopardy management, planning and scheduling requirements for the asset and operational plans and procedures to ensure compliance with internal targets and team commitments
•    Ensure that the Resource & Asset Planners are adequately resourced through the 7 day working period to deliver its main objectives
•    Provide advise and support on escalated and complex cases
•    Create and develop a strong working relationship with key stakeholders across the business and Service to ensure that common goals, outcomes, processes, protocols and procedures are aligned and consistent and to maintain a high level of performance by understanding and sharing each other’s goals, challenges and strategic direction.  Also ensure that excellent customer service is delivered to internal and external customers 
•    Ensure a swift and consistent response to all customer related jobs within appointment windows
•    Drive significant improvements in productivity through improved ways of working, consistent application of IT and technology, leadership and culture
•    Manage Traffic Management Act operational activity for the whole business ensuring compliance with all processes

 

 What skills & qualifications you will need:
 

•    Previous experience of managing a team to motivate, lead and inspire people to maximise their potential.
•    Awareness of standards and performance in health and safety, risk management and control of work to ensure compliance with the Yorkshire Water Safety Policy.
•    Confident communicator, able to develop and maintain effective internal and external relationships.
•    Experience of supporting and embedding change; ability to influence and drive the right culture and behaviours.
•    Experience of using SAP and Advantex and able to use IT packages to plan and schedule large volumes of work.
•    A good understanding of planning and scheduling principles and the ability to champion them within the business.
•    Experience of building an effective working relationship with key stakeholders in other Yorkshire Water teams such as operational teams, other scheduling teams and the control room, maintaining a clear working interface.
•    Able to be flexible, adaptable with a can-do attitude and can cope under pressure
•    Able to drive resolution of problems and actively seeks responsibility, able to use own initiative and seek innovative solutions

 


We embrace a flexible working model, where our hybrid setup typically requires 3 x days in the office per week. This could be slightly more when collaborative efforts, training or meeting deadlines demand it. For those who prefer to work on-site, our office is open Monday-Friday during working hours.
