We have an exciting opportunity for a Reservoir Safety Data Technician to join the Water Service Delivery team at Yorkshire Water and be a part of helping Yorkshire Water to provide the best service to our customers. Could this be you?

Water Service Delivery are a key part of how we plan to meet the changing expectations of customers and regulators. 

To process reservoir monitoring data collected by YW operational teams and telemetry.  This role is responsible for collation, tabulation and analysis of data stored in Yorkshire Water’s corporate systems to allow internal and external stakeholders access.

The role will work closely with monitoring data using software to interpret data and develop reporting and trend/alarm management.

The role will work with internal and external engineers and will be responsible for providing data packs of monitoring information, whilst receiving and processing reports on to YW corporate systems.

Deal with ad hoc requests from contract partners, engineers and field teams relating to reservoir monitoring data.

Where you fit in:

As our Reservoir Safety Data Technician you will

• Oversee reservoir performance data, including reporting, documentation, gap analysis, and interpretation of monitoring and surveillance data.
• Create and maintain custom dashboards and data packs for internal teams and external consultants to support reservoir monitoring and decision-making.
• Assist with inspection and supervision processes for reservoirs, ensuring accurate and timely data provision.
• Contribute to the delivery of the Capital programme through data insights and operational support.
• Identify and resolve data quality issues, system errors, and performance concerns; respond to stakeholder queries.
• Support team administration and contribute to team goals by aligning individual performance with wider objectives.
• Take personal and team responsibility for health and safety, risk management, and compliance with Yorkshire Water’s Safety Policy.
• Demonstrate drive and ambition to deliver sustainable performance, with a strong focus on financial awareness in daily decision-making.

What skills & qualifications you will need:

• Experience of processing complex data
• Experience of working with different IT systems especially the MS Office suite and Power BI
• Able to build effective working relations
• Good attention to detail
• An understanding where your role fits within our business plan and developing ways to deliver the outputs.
• Develops and maintains effective internal and external relationships.

You will also benefit from having:

• Use of SPOT/EDMS and RTS (YW specific software)
• Experience of working in a regulated environment
• Previous experience gained within the water sector or within the broader utilities
• Knowledge of GIS software
• Knowledge of Yorkshire Water’s reservoir network
