Location: Bradford – Service Delivery Centre 

 

Work type: Permanent contract, working full time,  on average 37 hours per week Monday-Sunday. You are employed in this role on an annualised hours contract which totals 1929 hours per year, eg- an average of 37 hours per week. Your normal attendance days and daily hours will be in accordance with the operational shift rota, the rota will either be a 12hr/365 day cover or a 24hr / 365 day cover.

Where you fit in?

 

As a Remote Asset Planner Water Network 24/7 colleague you will deliver operational excellence across all clean water network assets with customer service at the forefront whilst maintaining a focus on Health & Safety, regulatory compliance, operational integrity and resilience in relation to our Performance Commitments.

 

You will - 
 

  • Resolve high priority, complex and emergency problems. 
  • Manage escalation incidents and ensure that incidents are brought to resolution as quickly as possible.
  • Use a high level of technical knowledge in relation to our field assets in order to remotely optimise the network 
  • Continually look to improve our processes and way we do things.
  • Manage working hours of the field on standby in accordance with the Working Time Directive.
  • Work cross team with the other 24/7 desks ensuring that we provide 24/7 resilience across the paired desks and can step in to support other areas when required. 
  • Build a strong working relationship with operational teams in order to maintain a high level of performance by understanding and sharing each other’s goals, challenges and strategic direction.
  • Manage customer call backs for our service partners where required and out of hours service partner response in accordance with any SLA’s in place.
  • Provide support when required across the whole Control Room.
  • Be environmentally conscious when considering all elements of the water cycle, i.e. rivers, network and environmental impact.
  • Actively monitor/interrogate and co-ordinate response to customer contacts, considering any customer performance impacts
  • Ensure that all work is validated, optimised and jeopardy managed before allocation to Field/Service Partner/Out of Hours resources


What skills & qualifications you will need:

    

  • An ability to multi-task and deliver a high level of service when managing different tasks and activities.
  • Able to cope under pressure, calmly and rationally in a sometimes, stressful operational environment.
  • A strong communicator you will be able to develop and maintain effective internal and external relationships.
  • Experience of supporting and embedding change, able to influence and drive the right culture and behaviours.
  • Excellent customer service skills.  
  • Ability to negotiate and influence.
  • Good team working skills  
  • Commitment and flexibility are essential.
