We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager - Electrical to join us in the Electrical Engineering Team and be a part of helping us give the very best service to our customers. Could this be you?

The Electrical Engineering Team forms one of the 7 Teams that form the Engineering Section within Yorkshire Water’s Asset Delivery Business Unit. There are 9 members to the Electrical Engineering Team which includes Engineers, Technicians, Administrator and, should you be successful, yourself (a Project Manager).
The Electrical Engineering Team delivers a myriad of projects and initiatives ranging from the delivery of standards and policy, to renewable energy initiatives, to the delivery of large-scale High Voltage and Low Voltage Inspection Programs.
Should you be successful, as a Project Manager, you will provide the Project Management of the Capital and Revenue High Voltage and Low
Voltage Inspection and Testing programs with the support of the rest of the Electrical Engineering team.
Where you fit in:
As our Project Manager you will:
- Project manage the delivery of engineering projects / programmes of work
- Ensure the Duties of the Client as defined in CDM2015 are fulfilled for the programme of work under your control
- Fulfil the duties of the Project Manager in delivery contracts (principally the contract for Inspection and Testing of Low Voltage and High Voltage Electrical Systems)
- Maintain accurate and timely financial updates / reporting
- Maximise supplier value and performance
- Prioritise and balance a busy work schedule to ensure all projects are delivered to give an excellent customer service against challenging targets
- Drive excellent standards and performance in health and safety, risk management and control of work and ensure compliance with the YW Safety Policy.
What skills & qualifications you’ll need:
- Current valid driving licence
- Excellent personal standards of health and safety and confident in challenging others to perform at the correct standard
- Working knowledge of SAP financial management, forecasting and reporting tools
- A working knowledge and experience of managing contract under NEC Contracts up to a value of £10M per annum
- Excellent communication skills to develop and maintain effective internal and external relationships
- A working knowledge of the requirements of the employer in regard to CDM 2015
- Experience of project management including cost management and forecasting
- Develops and maintains effective internal and external relationships
- Clearly demonstrates the Yorkshire Water company values and behaviours
You will also benefit from having:
- An Electrical formal qualification at HNC level or above or alternatively, significant relevant and applicable experience
- A safety focused approach to work
- A working knowledge of the requirements of the employer in regard to DSEAR 2002 and EaWR 1989
- AMP (Association for Project Management) PMQ(Project Management Qualification) or equivalent
- NEC4 Project Management Accredition
- IOSHH / NEBOSHH Safety qualification
- Previous experience with IT systems, CMS and SAP
- Previous experience gained within the water or wastewater sectors or within the broader utilities, process or manufacturing industry sectors
