Work type: This is a fixed term role for 12 x months. Working full time, 37 hours per week, Monday – Friday between a working window of 8:00am-6:00pm.

 

 

 

We have an exciting opportunity for a Performance Excellence Process Lead to join the Performance Excellence Team within our People function at Yorkshire Water and be at the forefront of change. You will be reviewing, recommending, and supporting the implementation of improvement opportunities across the business.

 Where you fit in:

 

 

As our Performance Excellence Process Lead you will play a key role in driving Performance Excellence and be at the forefront of change. You will be reviewing, recommending, and supporting the implementation of improvement opportunities across the business. You will work closely with the Business Teams to identify opportunities for change and improvement, supporting the development, streamlining and redesign of internal business processes in line with Yorkshire Water process governance. As a subject matter expert, you will upskill and coach others in Continuous Improvement methodology, problem solving tools, and change techniques.

 

 

You will –

 

 

  • Work collaboratively with business teams to analyse business processes across the end-to-end journey identifying opportunities for improvements
  • Work with business teams to support them in identifying risks and control points
  • Help translate business processes into a language that an end-user will understand to bring about change
  • Provide support to business end users once the process improvement change has been implemented
  • Support and upskill teams across the business in the application of problem solving and CI tools, providing coaching and mentoring support.

 

 

What skills and qualifications you will need:

 

 

  • You will be able to understand a variety of complex systems and business processes quickly
  • You will be flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situations
  • You will have previous experience with organisational change efforts
  • Highly organised you will have a keen eye for accuracy and effectiveness and will set and maintain high performance standards.
  • Preferably trained to minimum Green Belt level in Lean Six Sigma.
  • You will plan and organise tasks and work responsibilities to achieve objectives, allocating resources properly.
  • Clear and confident communicator with an ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences
  • Excellent listener
  • Natural problem solver, with experience of root cause analysis and identification. You will analyse problems by gathering and organising all relevant information. Suggesting and implementing, where appropriate, the identified solutions
  • Able to understand organisational issues and challenges and how people go through change and experience the change process
  • Integrity - Shares complete and accurate information. Maintains confidentiality. Adheres to organisational policies and procedures
  • Initiative - Takes action to influence events. Generates ideas for improvement, takes advantage of opportunities, suggests innovations
