 Where I’d work:  This role will initially be based in Bradford but we’re moving our office to Leeds Valley Park in summer 2026, so you’ll be based there in the future. There will hybrid working in place for this role.

 

 Work type: This is a fixed term contract role for up to 18 months, working full time, 37 hours per week, Monday – Friday between a working window of 8:00am-6:00pm.

 

We have an exciting opportunity for a People Transformation Manager to join the People team at Yorkshire Water.

 Where you fit in:

 

You will play a pivotal role in facilitating sustainable change in working methods and culture across the Company by taking accountability for delivery of key elements of our strategic people programme. 

 

You will partner across the people team, working within a matrix approach with Business Partners, Learning, Resourcing, Talent, Communications, Reward and Culture , ED&I teams  (where applicable) to ensure delivery of people transformation activity. You will also work collaboratively with other key stakeholders across the business.

 

Key role requirements include the following - 

 

  • Build and take ownership for robust plans to ensure the delivery of the outcomes to enable the realisation of benefits of the assigned programme.
  • Deliver against the agreed milestones and manage risks and issues as they arise escalating where applicable.
  • Gather appropriate data & insights to inform programme decision making and impact assessment activity.
  • Utilise leading-edge thinking and techniques, ensuring solutions are identified and we are equipped for the future of work through embedding this into programmes of work and operational practices.
  • Design with the wider people team, processes, working methods and behavioural routines to underpin initiatives and frameworks so that they are fully embedded within the business.
  • Support any people related activity to resolve issues within escalation providing technical knowledge/ governance /assurance as required

 

What skills and qualifications you will need:

 

  • Strong background in people related change programmes and broader people change management
  • Strong ability to influence and engage a diverse mix of stakeholders, including Executive level
  • Excellent communication skills,  able to break down complex concepts verbally, visually (in presentations) and in writing
  • High levels of self-motivation and resilience
  • Accustomed to working with complex organisational challenges and programmes of work with significant organisation-wide impacts
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities at once with multiple stakeholders
