Location:  This role will initially be based in Bradford but we’re moving our office to Leeds Valley Park in Summer 2026, so you’ll be based there in the future, with a hybrid working arrangement in place, a mix of office and home working. 

 

Work type: This is a fixed term opportunity for 12 x months, working full time 37 hours per week, Monday – Friday.  
  

 

We have an exciting opportunity for a People Data Governance Analyst to join the People team at Yorkshire Water and play a key role in data governance in large scale change projects. Could this be you?

 Where you fit in - 
 

As our People Data Governance Analyst you will provide support to members of the People team and wider business by providing management information (MI) through data analysis, and the creation of reports to aid and direct initiatives within HR as well as the organisation as a whole.   

 

You will be an advanced user of Excel have experience of SAP S4Hana and SuccessFactors reporting and will work with key stakeholders across HR to produce regular & Adhoc reports 

 

Some key role responsibilities include the following – 
 

•    Creating and maintain standard reporting including monthly statistics, dashboards, scheduled reports and ad-hoc MI requests. 
•    Analysis and modelling of employee data to support decision making.
•    Analyse data to provide insight for HR Business partners, the wider HR function and senior stakeholders to identify trends, support business plans and strategic decision making. 
•    Identification of process gaps and improvement opportunities with focus on delivering business benefit by analysing key business data and presenting findings back to stakeholders at all levels.
 

What skills & qualifications you will need:

 

•    Strong data manipulation and analytical skills is essential for this role.
•    Advanced use of Microsoft Excel and a good knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, experience of Power BI is advantageous for the role  
•    Analysis and data gathering skills, using Excel to manage large volumes of data (e.g. Macros, Pivot Tables) 
•    Broad technical knowledge of business systems 
•    Previous experience of using HR Information Systems platforms is advantageous and if you have SAP S4Hana & SuccessFactors experience this is desirable, however full training will be provided.
•    A good communicator who can follow procedures and work under there own initiative, who is very detailed and can work to meet deadlines.
