Where I’d work:  Hybrid working is in place so there will be a mix of home-working and typically around  2 days in the office at Bradford per week  

 

Work type: Permanent or fixed term contract for up to 12 months. You will be working 37 hours per week, Monday – Friday. 

 

We have an exciting opportunity for a People Change Partner to join us in the People Team at Yorkshire Water and be a part of supporting a range of  business change programmes .

People Change support large, complex and high-profile business change programmes.   Our ability to put people at the centre of organisational change is critical to Yorkshire Water realising its strategic priorities.  We work closely with our business stakeholders and other Centres of Excellence within our people function to support the delivery of all people aspects of organisational change and drive greater effectiveness through the provision of insight, expert advice, and challenge. 

 

Where you fit in:

 

As our People Change Partner you will work closely with key stakeholders across our enterprise wide change programmes. You will be instrumental in maximising business outcomes by putting people at the heart of the change agenda to accelerate the adoption and delivery of associated benefits.   You will be responsible for establishing, enabling and managing a range of people change programme activity in support of wider business led programmes in Yorkshire Water.  

 

As our People Change Partner you will -

 

  • Work closely with other People Teams, stakeholders (including trade unions) and colleagues to progress activities and deliverables, and also be responsible for leading specific activities.
  • Manage the people change approach in a way which maximises employee engagement with the projects and drives faster adoption of cultural and behavioural reforms
  • Work with Business Change Leads in preparing the business readiness plan for the transition to new ways of working, fully understanding the people impact and approaches to mitigate any risks/issues
  • Understand and find solutions to complex and unclear problems often involving conflicting views and requirements, and which have no predefined solution
  • Ensure comprehensive and effective project plans and associated documents are in place to control and track the successful delivery against milestones and priorities
  • Play a key role in the resolution of any identified strategic, scope, planning or resource issues, and where appropriate escalating options and providing recommendations for resolution
  • Be responsible for anticipating issues and problems, and where necessary intervening (including taking responsibility for directly producing project deliverables) to prevent slippage or failure to meet key milestones
  • Consult directly with Trade Union representatives and other stakeholders to inform the design and delivery of the project

 

What skills & qualifications you’ll need:

 

  • In depth professional HR and change management expertise, knowledge and experience in leading, designing and implementing organisational changes on major programmes and projects.
  • Experience of navigating ambiguous requirements, able to adapt to changing circumstances and adverse situations whilst remaining calm, reassuring others and maintaining performance. 
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a proven track record of establishing and building strong, collaborative, and productive relationships across organisational boundaries.   
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to develop and manage an inclusive, high performing direct and matrix change teams across the business
  • Good commercial acumen, able to develop and manage complex business cases
  • Previous experience of working with Trade Unions 
  • A qualification in change management practices would be advantageous, but not essential.
