Location:  Bradford / Hybrid Working 

 

Work type: This is a temporary position for 12 x months,  working full time between a working window of 8:00am-6:00pm, Monday – Friday. 

 

 

We have an exciting opportunity for a PR Co-ordinator to join the Communications team at Yorkshire Water. We're on the lookout for someone who's got a real passion for storytelling, loves to create engaging content, and thrives in a fast-paced role.

Our approach to PR and media is all about sharing stories that build trust in our brand, boosting brand awareness, and creating a positively engaged community.

 

As a PR  Coordinator, you'll amplify our stories to the right audience and showcase the amazing work our team does every day, including creating PR campaigns. You’ll also be helping out with answering media inquiries, working alongside our internal stakeholders, to give timely and substantive updates. This involves a bit of research to keep everything ticking along nicely.

 

You'll always be thinking of new creative ways to tell our story – making news relevant and interesting – so we can maximise the coverage we get. Keeping your finger on the pulse of PR trends and industry news to spot new opportunities will be part of your day-to-day, as will being proactive in spotting potential issues and collaborating with the wider communications team to address them.

 

Your expertise will be invaluable across projects within the brand and communications team, providing technical know-how and reporting on our successes. And when the time's right, you’ll also pitch in with broader content and copywriting initiatives, playing a key role in our goal to deliver brilliant customer engagement in a heartfelt and effective way.

 

 

What key skills & experience are we looking for? 

 

•    Experience as a digital professional within an agency or in-house environment 
•    Experience of videography
•    Proactive, creative and driven with an ability to put creative ideas into action
•    Strong time management skills 
•    A proven track record of delivering effective digital campaigns with significant results and within a pressured environment 
•    Has the ability to influence key stakeholders within the organisation.
•    Excellent skills in relation to online channel and content publishing
•    Excellent knowledge of a range of digital monitoring tools 
•    An ability to create content that users want to engage with and ability to utilise this content to build relationships and create advocacy 
•    Strong knowledge of the digital environment, 
•    Excellent interpersonal, influencing and written skills
•    Strong ability to organise and plan work 
•    Be able to work independently and support and contribute to a team 
•    A basic level of technical skills in relation to online channel development, in particular intranets, websites.
•    Strong knowledge of the overall online environment including social media and how this can be used to drive interest in the work we do. 
•     A Public Relations or similar qualification would be advantageous
