Location: Bradford / Hybrid Working (approx. 2 or 3 office days / week)

 

Work type: Permanent. 37 hours per week, Monday – Friday. 

 

We have an exciting opportunity for a Continuous Improvement and Digital Manager to join the Asset Delivery PMO team at Yorkshire Water and be a part of helping Yorkshire Water to provide the best service to our customers. Could this be you?

Asset Delivery PMO are a key part of how we plan to meet the changing expectations of customers and regulators.  

 

In AMP8, Asset Delivery PMO will support a multi-billion pound programme of capital investment across YW’s clean and wastewater assets. The Capital Programme is growing by over 50% as we move into AMP8. 

 

The Continuous Improvement and Digital Manager will play a critical role in the successful delivery of the portfolio by leading a team of Systems and Change specialists. They will be responsible for providing the Digital and Modernisation strategies which will enable ongoing and continuous improvement in order to deliver the enablers for the Strategic Objectives to be met. 

 

Where you fit in:

 

As our Continuous Improvement and Digital Manager you will;

 

  • Lead a team responsible for digital and modernisation strategies, process improvement and curriculum and development for Asset Delivery
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement within Asset Delivery
  • Drive change and innovation, always seeking lean and efficient ways of working and implementing them successfully in the Asset Capital Programme teams and Capital Delivery Value chain
  • Work closely with peers in Programme and Alliance delivery, YW Tec, The YW Academy and other departments to ensure alignment and to ensure cross directorate working is maximised
  • Oversee the Curriculum and Development service for the Asset Delivery Capital Programme to ensure all colleagues have the right skills and knowledge to execute the required processes, on an ongoing basis.
  • Be a trusted advisor to the Head of PMO providing candid feedback, insight and analysis to assist with decision making and strategy.
  • Collaborate with Asset Delivery leadership teams to implement process and digital change

 

What skills & qualifications you will need:

 

Essential skills include effective communication at senior levels, excellent people skills, knowledge of project and change management techniques, and experience managing process improvements

 

  • An experienced manager with a proven track record of effective communication at Senior levels
  • Ability to influence and drive change for the good of the full Asset Capital value chain (with touch points outside and inside the Asset Delivery directorate)
  • Knowledge and demonstrable experience of using Project Management and Change Management techniques
  • Proven ability of managing, implementing, and embedding process improvements
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; including the ability to present and communicate complex information to a wide range of audiences.
  • Ability to manage a diverse group of people with varying skills sets, providing direction, development and influence for the delivery of high-quality outcomes
  • Ability to create excellent working relationships (both internally and externally) to facilitate cross departmental working

 

You will also benefit from having:

 

  • Experience of leading excellence within a Programme Management Office
  • Experience of working in a regulated environment
  • Experience of working in construction or large capital programme
  • Experience of leading and facilitating continuous improvement projects using methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen
