Location: This role will initially be based in Bradford but we’re moving our office to Leeds Valley Park in late Spring 2026, so you’ll be based there in the future – We operate a hybrid working (two to three office days a week – Bradford or Leeds).

 

Work type: Permanent. 37 hours per week, Monday – Friday.

Reporting to the Leakage Assurance Manager, you’ll be part of the Configuration Analyst team, keeping the Netbase leakage system running smoothly, resolving data issues and delivering clear performance insight. You’ll use data to improve leakage calculations, strengthen regulatory reporting, and create dashboards that help teams across the business make better decisions.

 

Where you fit in!

 

As our Leakage Reporting and Configuration Analyst you will;

 

  • Configure and maintain the Netbase leakage system, ensuring accurate asset configuration, DMAs and PMAs, prioritised data streams and high‑quality source data.
  • Act as a subject‑matter expert in Netbase, providing training and support across system functions including Event Management, Alarms, Maps, Water Balance, Campaigns and Reporting.
  • Provide technical system support, working closely with internal teams to resolve data processing issues and ensure timely, accurate updates.
  • Collaborate with teams across Leakage, Water Service Delivery, Smart Networks and Technology to improve reporting, processes and performance insight.
  • Build strong relationships with external partners and suppliers to support system upgrades, consultancy projects and industry collaboration.
  • Analyse and validate leakage, operability, availability and pressure performance data, identifying trends, anomalies and improvement opportunities.
  • Create and embed clear management information dashboards, supporting delivery of performance targets and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead and support leakage calculation improvements, regulatory reporting (APR) and ad‑hoc data requests, ensuring accuracy and robustness of outputs.

 

What skills & qualifications you will need;

 

  • Strong technical understanding of the water distribution network, including leakage calculation and network performance drivers.
  • Proven analytical capability, with experience interpreting and analysing large, complex datasets to support decision‑making.
  • Advanced user of Netbase, with the ability to create insight and support operational performance.
  • Experienced in Yorkshire Water corporate systems, including SAP, AI2, Odyssey, SRM and billing platforms.
  • Confident stakeholder engagement skills, able to build strong relationships, negotiate and influence across teams.
  • Highly organised and delivery‑focused, with excellent time management, attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Advanced IT skills, including Microsoft Office and Power BI dashboard creation, supported by a relevant qualification (HND or equivalent experience in a numerical role).

 

You will also benefit from having:

 

  • Experience of delivering against challenging business targets.
  • Previous experience in a commercially orientated and / or regulated environment.
  • Able to understand where your role fits within a Business Plan and develop ways to deliver the outputs required.
  • Experience of supporting and embedding change, able to influence and drive the right culture and behaviours.
  • Experience with coding languages such as Python and SQL.
