We offer a salary from £44,520 – £56,650 per annum dependant on experience. This salary range will increase by 4.5% from 1st April.

Where I’d work: Bradford/Hybrid Working – a mix of working from home and in the office at Bradford
Work type: Permanent role, working full time, 37 hours per week, Monday – Friday between a working window of 8:00am-6:00pm.

Where you fit in?
In this role you will lead and manage the communications and engagement team who support our capital programme. You will develop and drive the communications and engagement strategy for our capital programme, maximising all brand touchpoints with customers to drive understanding of value for money.
You will represent the company externally through media interviews and stakeholder and public engagement meetings and proactively identify and manage emerging reputational risks and opportunities.
You will work closely with our in-house studio to ensure we’re maximising all marketing opportunities and work closely with other colleagues in the brand and communications team to ensure our company narrative is consistent across all communications channels.
You will also deputise for the Communications Manager when needed during key meetings and projects.
What skills & qualifications are we looking for?
- Excellent experience of managing a team of multi-skilled communications professionals
- The successful candidate will have significant experience as a media professional within an agency or in-house environment
- Ability to develop and maintain effective internal and external relationships
- Ability to influence decisions and build relationships at all levels
- A proven track record of delivering effective media campaigns with significant results and within a pressured environment
- Excellent experience of being able to handle and liaise with journalists and the media
- Excellent skills in relation to online channel and content publishing
- Excellent knowledge of a range of media monitoring tools
- Previous experience of using social listening tools
- Excellent organisational skills, able to take initiative and be proactive with work tasks and manage workloads
- Strong IT skills, able to use Excel, Powerpoint and Word
- Excellent communication skills
- It would be advantageous if you had a Public Relations or similar qualification
