Work type: Permanent. 37 hours per week, Monday – Friday.

Our Cloud FinOps Manager is a highly technical and strategic role where you will be responsible for developing, maintaining and supporting cost management practices, develop cost optimization, recommend rightsizing, create and implement management models, define FinOps tools and processes. You will play a key role in implementing the Cloud strategy while becoming familiar with new emerging technologies and public cloud services.  

  

As this is a Leadership role you will require significant Stakeholder Management skills and  advanced technical skills and knowledge.   

 

You will be able to lead the development of metrics to influence technology teams on best practice for cloud development and develop long and short term product and service strategy and plans and coordinate the implementation to the business area.  

  

Where you fit in: 

 

As our Cloud FinOps Manager you will  

 

  • Have previously worked with cloud providers such as Azure, AWS and GCP and understand cloud costing and billing.  

  • Be experienced in public cloud, architecture, cloud strategy, networking, security, compliance workload types, standards and migration tools. 

  • Comfortable with suggesting technical and innovative decisions, obtaining customer consensus and delivering on commitments.  

  • Have experience with cloud budget management process, cloud cost analysis and optimization.  

  • Have working Knowledge of IaaS, PaaS services and cloud technologies, e.g. Databricks, AKS, ADF, Log Analytics, Load Balancing, Disaster recovery.  

  • Be able to establish cloud cost management processes in a large organization.  

  

What skills & qualifications you will need: 

 

  • Strong commercial and supplier management skills   

  • Significant experience of influencing senior stakeholders   

  • Experience of the design and development of IT solutions inc. effective delivery governance and portfolio management concepts  

  • Extensive Experience of working in Agile / Scaled Agile & DevSecOps delivery methodologies.  

  • Extensive Experience of working with digital and cloud technologies, specifically Azure.  

  • Educated to degree level and or with appropriate professional qualification.  

 

You will also benefit from having: 

 

  • An understanding of the Utilities environment.  

  • Relevant certifications such as Azure, PMP, GCP, NSE, ITILv4, MCSM, MCA, or MCM.  

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, written and verbal, to all levels of an organization. 

  • Financial analysis of the environment, creating reports and data analytics to reinforce technical and strategic decisions.
