Salary: £31,212 to £40,152 + Pension + 25 days holiday

The Security, Service and Operations team delivers change quickly, operates our IT services securely and embraces new technology to drive service excellence for our 5 million customers and 3,500 colleagues.


We are now looking for an IT Asset Management Specialist to join us on this journey. This means no two days will ever be the same but as an IT Asset Management Specialist you will need to really own it and can expect your role to involve:


  • Working across the IT Asset Management Lifecycle, driving the ITAM programme forward and setting strategy for years to come.
    • This includes (but is not limited to) client devices (laptops, desktops, smartphones), printers, servers and storage.
    • Also corporate software, licenses and compliance.
  • You'll be responsible for the creation and review of ITAM policies and governance, asset tracking & the detailed upkeep and inventory of IT Assets, reclaim and reuse and IT asset spend.
  • The IT Asset Specialist can provide detailed information on their environment to aid current and future decision making.


It goes without saying that we are looking for individuals who are great communicators and comfortable conversing and influencing senior leadership stakeholders. IT Asset Management Specialist who fosters a culture of excellence by defining and refining methods, standards, governance and assurance and is a technical expert and champion of data, technology and analytics throughout everything they do.


What skills are we looking for:


  • Experience in the IT Asset Management function and/or its underlying principles/lifecycle
  • Good working knowledge of an industry leading CMDB toolset and how it interacts with the ITSM function.
  • Quantifiable examples of cost savings, compliance achievements and
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Good knowledge of the asset management lifecycle
  • Ability to explore & understand enterprise solutions
  • Ability to prioritise and execute tasks in a dynamic, changing environment and make sound decisions in emergency situations
  • Ability to present ideas in both technical and user-friendly language
  • Ability to influence individuals and ensure completion of activities
  • Strong financial knowledge building business cases on ROI
  • Ability to collect, evaluate and interpret information from multiple sources



  • Good understanding and knowledge of IT security services and solution.
  • Recognises business critical issues and comes up with cost effective resolutions
