We have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Manager to join the Commercial and Regulatory finance team at Yorkshire Water and be a part of helping Yorkshire Water to provide the best service to our customers. Could this be you?

Commercial and Regulatory Finance are a key part of how we plan to meet the changing expectations of customers and regulators.
Our Finance Manager will enhance business performance and enable functional efficiencies within the Commercial and Regulatory finance team. You will be able to significantly improve business intelligence, allowing business partners to drive performance effectively using data and enterprise systems. Your team will be responsible for delivering cross-business analysis and will liaise with the Group Financial Controller for planning, reporting, and external audit activities. They also focus on areas such as energy/electricity analysis and fleet financial partnering, playing a crucial role in the commercial/procurement process.
You will ensure clarity, insight, and trusted data to support the business strategy. By specialising in data-driven decision support and action planning, you will promote common ways of working and support the finance function's development towards top quartile performance.
Where you fit in:
As our Financial Manager you will
- Oversee business reporting and forecasting processes to the commercial, regulatory, and group finance teams.
- Establish and maintain consistent ways of working that provide valuable insights to finance teams, driving business performance.
- Be accountable for cross-business analysis, including energy reporting, and supporting the regulatory team in delivering key outcomes.
- Evaluate commercial/procurement proposals and provide insights to business partners
- Develop and maintain data supply chains that ensure effective data controls and data-driven insights.
- Continuously improve processes and management information
- Conduct ad hoc data analysis to support business partners.
What skills & qualifications you will need:
- A professional accounting qualification
- At least 5 years of experience partnering with complex organisations or working within complex business models.
- Experience of using data to drive insights and improve performance.
- Ability to challenge existing ways of working to deliver better outcomes.
- Strong skills in influencing and persuading others to achieve required outcomes
- Experience in problem-solving and continuous improvement.
