Location: West Yorkshire / Hybrid Working (2-3 days in the office a week – Bradford - Relocating to Leeds)
Work type: Permanent. 37 hours per week, Monday – Friday.

The Finance team are a key part of how we plan to meet the changing expectations of customers and regulators.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join the Finance Business Partner team supporting Yorkshire Water to deliver their business plan across opex, capex and performance commitments. The team drive performance with insight led analysis and develop plans to align with our Regulatory Requirements. We’re looking for someone who is passionate about commercial delivery, enjoys building strong relationships across the business and is curious about trends and insight.
Where you fit in:
As our Finance Business Partner, you will:
- Provide high quality Finance Business Partnering to support effective resource planning, capacity profiling, and the optimisation of operational requirements.
- Deliver insightful financial analysis, forecasts, and reporting both routine and ad hoc to inform decision making, drive cost efficiency, and support strategic workforce planning.
- Apply a sound understanding of relevant regulatory guidelines, ensuring all activities align with industry compliance requirements.
- Act as a key member of the Leadership Team, constructively challenging and collaborating with operational managers to drive performance and continuous improvement.
- Lead the development of robust business plans and forecasts, clearly identifying risks, opportunities, and key financial drivers.
- Provide a regulatory perspective on TOTEX performance, ensuring the business remains on track to deliver commitments set by the regulator for the price control period.
- Collaborate closely with the wider Finance Business Partnering community to address shared challenges and deliver aligned business objectives.
- Work with the Contract Management Team to support effective supply chain utilisation and ensure a TOTEX focused approach is embedded in all commercial and operational decisions.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, standards, and Business Process Management principles, maintaining regulatory compliance and supporting ongoing ISO accreditation.
What skills & qualifications you will need:
- A recognised professional accounting qualification (or currently studying toward one), or equivalent experience within a commercial or financial environment.
- The confidence to challenge existing processes and ways of working to drive improved outcomes.
- A commitment to staying informed on key financial and non financial data, using insights to support effective service delivery.
- A proven ability to prioritise effectively and deliver results in fast paced or high pressure environments.
