Location: Bradford / Hybrid Working  (Typically two days in the office per week – Bradford but this is subject to change when required)

 

Work type: Permanent, working full time 37 hours per week, Monday – Friday.

The Developer Services team provide a reliable and helpful service to property developers and the domestic and commercial customers that we service. You will form part of an open and informative team who are committed to providing a high level of service to each of our customers.

 

Where you fit in -

 

You will provide customers, internal and external, with a high level of initial application technical advice in relation to clean water matters and support whilst maintaining the integrity of Yorkshire Water assets and being fully compliant with appropriate guidelines and regulations. To enable this to happen you will handle the initial technical application as quickly as possible ensuring that the Connections Technicians have all the information required to allow a quote to be provided within our service level agreements.

 


Some key responsibilities include the following –

 

·        To review all types of clean water applications to ensure we have all the information we need to proceed
·        To monitor our suspense account to locate any application fee payments
·        Respond to written and telephone enquiries from external customers in line with regulated service standards
·        Accurately update regulatory records (Water UK submission spreadsheets) in a timely manner
·        To process checklists and raise all appropriate jobs for our Service Delivery Partner within service level agreements
·        Raise remedial work orders to our Delivery Team when issues are identified with previous work that they have carried out

·        Accurately process lead and disconnection ‘job packs’ through to our customers – using Yorbill and surveyor feedback
·        Manage allocated work streams within clean water to ensure service level agreements are prioritised and managed effectively to adhere to stringent Water UK targets
·        Complete all work items allocated with the given service level agreement to adhere to stringent Water UK targets
·        Produce accurate and relevant management information as and when required.

 

What skills are we looking for?

 

•    You will ideally have previous experience/knowledge of Developer Services clean water operations.  You will have an appreciation of the technical knowledge required in relation to the operation of clean water networks. This is essential to be able to identify the correct route an application should take.
•    You will be flexible and resilient to be able to adapt to continuous change.
•    You will have strong customer service experience and skills, dealing with a range of customer queries by written and verbal means.
•    You will be able to interpret and understand what the customer requires and will proactively ensure that we have all information required. 
•    A confident communicator you will be able to develop working relationships with a range of key stakeholders and work collaboratively with different areas of the business. You will have good influencing and negotiating skills and be able to work on your own initiative, managing a busy and varied workload often with stringent timescales.
•    You will have excellent customer service skills and be able to show empathy for the customer, ensuring they have an excellent and seamless customer experience.
•    You will have good numeracy skills, alongside the ability to handle and manipulate data accurately. 
•    You will have excellent IT skills, ideally with previous experience of Yorkshire Water corporate systems including: ICE, Odyssey, SAP, Yorbill and Lotus Notes, Survey Feedback Repository. Although, full training will be provided.  Previous experience in the use of Microsoft Office - including Work and Excel, SharePoint is essential.
