Location: Midway, Bradford/ Hybrid Working (Flexible office days a week - Bradford)
Work type: Permanent. 37 hours per week, Monday - Friday.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Demand Technical Assistant to join the Water Service Delivery / Water Strategy Planning & Investment team at Yorkshire Water and be a part of helping Yorkshire Water to provide the best service to our customers. Could this be you?

The Water Strategy Planning & Investment team plays a vital role in ensuring the long-term sustainability and efficiency of our water resources. By developing and implementing strategic plans, this team addresses challenges such as population growth, climate change, and environmental regulations. Joining this team means contributing directly to safeguarding Yorkshire's water future.
Where you fit in:
As our Demand Technical Assistant you will:
- Provide crucial operational administrative support to the Water Efficiency team, enabling the business to achieve its Performance Commitments for Per Capita Consumption (PCC) and Business Demand Reduction (NHH).
- Timely and accurately manage information for both household and non-household consumption, essential for the annual water balance and Annual Performance Reporting (APR).
- Be the primary point of contact for operational colleagues working on demand programs, household and non-household customers, and address queries from other departments.
- Manage and coordinate the workbasket for Data Maintenance Technicians and other operational colleagues supporting the Water Efficiency team's objectives.
- Oversee the end-to-end process for recruiting new customers to the Demand Customer Metering (DCM) sample, ensuring representation and data accuracy across various systems.
- Run the annual Water Usage Survey, managing the distribution, collection, and data updates effectively.
What skills & qualifications you will need:
- Familiarity with IT systems such as Netbase, Advantex, Odyssey, ICE, Yorbill, and SAP.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to anticipate problems, interpret data, understand cause and effect, and identify practical solutions.
- A strong commitment to delivering exceptional customer service to both customers and internal colleagues.
- Proven experience working as part of a team in an administrative role.
- Effective decision-making abilities.
- Diligent with a strong attention to detail.
You will also benefit from having:
- Experience of working in a high-pressured environment and competence in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel & PowerPoint).
- The ability to work on your own initiative and self-manage effectively.
- Strong time management skills to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks.
- A proactive approach and a willingness to learn and adapt.
