Work type: This is a permanent role, working full time, 37 hours per week, Monday – Friday between a working window of 8:00am-6:00pm. 

 

We have two exciting opportunities for a Demand & Capacity Analysts to join the Central Control team in the Customer Experience function at Yorkshire Water. You will play a key role in capturing and understanding resource capacity and work demand, based on data analysis, forecasting, and scenario modelling.

 Where you fit in:

 

As our Demand & Capacity Analyst you will identify and manage the resource capacity and work demand, based on data analysis, forecasting, and scenario modelling. You will capture non availability from resources, ensuring there is an up-to-date view on available resources.  

 

You will ensure the data for Demand & Capacity is correct and up-to-date and liaise with key stakeholders (e.g. HR, Field Operations Managers, Control, Fleet etc). You will assess and agree the demand and supply ratio with the relevant Area / Regional Operations Managers, Engineering and Asset Reliability. You will monitor and report on deviations from the plans in the medium to long-term minimising operational and financial impact. 

 

You will also refine inputs to continually improve plans so that the organisation can better anticipate and address future resource and sourcing needs. You will identify opportunities to improve and escalate risks to Demand & Capacity Manager. You will also administer and use various bespoke company databases and systems to update current records and produce reports as requested.

 

What skills and qualifications you will need:

 

  • A confident communicator you will be able to develop and maintain effective internal and external relationships with key stakeholders. Able to influence and co-ordinate resource levels across different functions
  • You will be able to effectively problem solve under pressure and find innovative ways to overcome complex business challenges
  • Experienced in using PowerBI, Excel and a range of IT systems
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Rigorous attention to detail to ensure ‘right first time’ performance

 

You will also benefit from having:
 

  •  Previous experience as a resource manager/ demand planner
  •  Previous experience gained within the water or waste water sectors or within the broader utilities, process or manufacturing industry sectors and knowledge of regulatory requirements in the water industry.
  •  Data analysis and validation skills
  •  An understanding of operational and maintenance processes and asset management and capital principles
  •  Knowledge of  risk policy and process
