Yorkshire Water are seeking an SRO Programme Manager to lead the development of an exciting and challenging programme of major Strategic Resource Options (SROs) to enhance the long-term resilience and sustainability of water supplies in the YW area. The total value of these four major projects in excess of £2.5Bn, having executive level stakeholder engagement within both Yorkshire Water and Ofwat
Where you fit in:
As our DPC Programme Manager you will;
- Identify and coordinate key dependencies across the four projects for the various workstreams – including technical design, environmental assessments, planning consent, commercial/procurement and stakeholder management activities
- Lead the DPC Programme activities: Managing the preparation of documentation for regulatory submissions including RAPID gateway submissions and Ofwat DPC stages. Where necessary, coordinate inputs on SRO projects into Price Review, WRMP and other regulatory submissions.
- Establish and manage an appropriate governance and assurance process for effective decision making and approvals, where necessary aligning with existing YW processes.
- Represent YW in the development of joint SRO projects with partner water companies.
- Manage risks, issues and opportunities across the programme escalating key risks through the governance process.
- Facilitate regular programme meetings to track progress and escalate decisions.
- Manage finances and resources across the programme ensuring high quality project development work is carried out efficiently and on time.
- Be a member of the YW DPC Core leadership team driving YW DPC activities.
What skills & qualifications you will need:
- Proven experience as a Programme Manager or project lead ideally through the development phase of major infrastructure projects with a good working knowledge of SRO’s, WRMP’s and the regulatory environment.
- Thorough understanding of project/programme management techniques and methods.
- The Programme Manager will ideally have previous experience of Ofwat and RAPID submissions and an understanding of the technical features of water resources projects.
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office; working knowledge of programme/project management software (MS Project etc.) is an advantage.
- Outstanding leadership and organisational skills.
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to problem solving.
