Location: West Yorkshire / Hybrid Working (1-2 days in the office a week – Bradford – Relocating to Leeds Summer 2026)
Work type: Permanent. 37 hours per week, Monday – Friday.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Corporate Affairs Advisor – Major Projects to join the Corporate Affairs team at Yorkshire Water and be a part of helping Yorkshire Water to provide the best service to our customers. Could this be you?

Be a key member of the Major Projects team, supporting the delivery of Yorkshire Water’s most significant infrastructure programmes. You’ll lead on stakeholder management—engaging with regulators, partners, politicians, and communities—to build trust, manage reputation, and ensure the success of our major projects. Your work will directly influence the delivery of projects worth billions, shaping the future of water in Yorkshire.
Where you fit in:
As our Corporate Affairs Advisor - Major Projects you will:
- Plan, lead, and manage stakeholder engagement across all phases of the Major Projects Programme
- Develop and execute stakeholder strategies to ensure effective communication and alignment with internal and external partners, including Ofwat, RAPID, and other water companies
- Represent Yorkshire Water’s interests in high-profile forums, consultations, and regulatory submissions
- Support crisis communications and reputation management for major projects
- Prepare and deliver briefing materials, engagement plans, and consultation events
- Track stakeholder feedback, manage queries, and support negotiation and interface resolution
- Contribute to decision-making, risk reduction, and regulatory compliance through timely and effective engagement
What skills & qualifications you will need:
- Experience in stakeholder management, corporate affairs, or communications within major projects or regulated environments
- Strong relationship-building and influencing skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences
- Understanding of the water industry, infrastructure delivery, or public sector (desirable)
- Proactive, strategic thinker with a collaborative approach
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
