We have an exciting opportunity for 6 x Continuous Improvement Leads to join the Above Ground Maintenance Modernisation Team at Yorkshire Water and be a part of helping Yorkshire Water to provide the best service to our customers. Could this be you?

The Above Ground Maintenance Modernisation Team at Yorkshire Water is looking for 6 x Continuous Improvement Leads to improve the way we maintain our assets and plan and schedule work in the most efficient and effective way.
This role is to primarily support the enabling and embedding of the above ground maintenance process, standard operating procedures and technology with a strong focus on the cultural shift required to be more planned and proactive in our approach to maintenance.

As our Continuous Improvement Lead you will:
- Articulate the AGM change story, ensuring colleagues are aware of the reasons behind it and the benefits we are seeking, linking into our strategy
- Watch the work, spending time with both field and office-based colleagues while they are working to identify how the work flows and what gets in the way
- Manage issues and opportunities, pulling people together to progress them, solving problems, keeping colleagues informed and bringing them along the journey
- Utilise available performance data to its maximum potential, developing new measures to understand how we are performing, encouraging open and honest conversations about how we can improve, linking in with the Yorkshire Water Performance Excellence (PeX) framework
- Assist with the creation of meaningful training frameworks that can be applied across the organisation, supporting the delivery of key training to frontline teams ensuring there are open channels for constructive feedback aimed to improve the colleague and customer experience.
What skills & qualifications you will need:
- A passion for improving how we do things at Yorkshire Water
- An ability to engage and influence colleagues, building relationships and bringing people along the journey
- Experience of identifying problems and opportunities and solving them
- An ability to extract data from our corporate systems and turn it into insightful analysis using MS Excel and Power BI
- The ability to lead a team of people to deliver specific outcomes
- The ability to understand user requirements and translate them into user stories for technical development, working within the Agile Framework
You will also benefit from having:
- A knowledge of YW above ground assets
- An understanding of our performance commitments and regulatory obligations
- Awareness and experience of the YW corporate systems used to plan, schedule and deliver work
- A recognised qualification in improvement, such as Lean Six Sigma Yellow, Green or Black belt
