Location: Buttershaw / Hybrid Working (1-2 days office a week – Bradford).
Work type: 12 months fixed term contract. 37 hours per week, Monday – Friday.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Compliance and Assurance Analyst to join the Audit, Risk and Compliance team at Yorkshire Water and be a part of helping Yorkshire Water to provide the best service to our customers. Could this be you?

Audit, Risk and Compliance team are a key part of how we plan to meet the changing expectations of customers and regulators.
As part of the Compliance and Assurance function, you will create and embed Compliance management information, including BI Dashboards and reporting packs to provide insights and support to all areas of the business including the Executive and Board to influence understanding on business wide Legal, Statutory and Regulatory Compliance obligations. You will review and analyse process controls and assurance activity to identify compliance risk and opportunities and recommend process improvements. Develop Assurance plans and schedules based on the Compliance risk insights captured through reporting across the management system, and then create and oversee the governance in relation to Integrated action monitoring for the organisation and Regulators, to reduce the risks to non-compliance, producing management information for the Executive and Senior Leaders.

As our Compliance and Assurance Analyst you will:
• Design and Develop management Information dashboards in Microsoft Power BI for Compliance reporting to the Executive and Board including:
o Developing, delivering on an on-going basis and monitoring Compliance team performance scorecards using BI and SharePoint reporting functionalities
o Building business-wide compliance and assurance reports
o Drawing in external and internal best practice compliance measures
o Gathering stakeholder expectations
o Making the reports engaging and easy to understand
o Making reports interactive to drill down through a taxonomy from a dashboard
• Link the compliance reports with other key reporting strands in the business – PEX, Executive dashboards, Board reporting.
• Analyse the outputs of the management reporting to provide compliance assurance and identify risks and opportunities for improvement.
• Overseeing the reporting hierarchy drawing through relevant information for each level of reporting and developing analytics and visual tools to identify themes and connecting with compliance leads and assurance colleagues to raise the themes and seek resolutions.
• Creates and updates Assurance plans ensuring proportionate across the level of risk.
• Manage relationships with Compliance Leads to influence delivery of the cross-business activities linked to the Compliance and Assurance Programme.
• Conduct site inspections across the region.
What skills & qualifications you will need:
• Proficient IT skills: Experience of using Microsoft Power BI, Excel and SharePoint to manage multiple sources of raw data and transpose into impactful management reports.
• Ability to interpret compliance legislation, regulation and policies.
• Understanding of Compliance Frameworks.
• Communication skills: articulate and able to liaise and express self clearly to all levels of colleagues including Senior leaders, Directors, and external stakeholders.
• Ability to present Reporting Dashboards in formal reports and management meetings.
• Being able to listen, question and summarise to understand and meet stakeholder needs.
• Highly numerate, strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to present data clearly and concisely to deliver and influence key business compliance messages.
• Full UK driving licence.
