Location: Buttershaw, Bradford, hybrid working (1 office day per week), with regular regional travel across multiple sites, full UK driving licence required

As a Commercial Land and Property Surveyor you will be an integral part of the Estates Team in the Land and Property department at Yorkshire Water. Reporting directly into the Lead Commercial Surveyor, you will be at the forefront of managing one of Yorkshire’s largest landholdings. Your workload will be incredibly varied from managing a disposal and acquisition programme, supporting with landlord and tenant matters, undertaking inspections to negotiating and agreeing new leases/ licences, whilst also considering commercial opportunities for land. Regional travel will be required.
Where you fit in:
As our Commercial Land and Property Surveyor you will:
- Provide expert advice to Yorkshire Water on disposals and acquisitions, Landlord/ Tenant issues and general estate matters in relation to the implementation of the company’s strategy.
- Undertake inspections of various types of land and property
- Support the Lead Commercial Surveyor in managing estate matters.
- Work closely and liaise with internal and external stakeholders to problem solve and to identify risks and opportunities across the estate
- Support the Lead Commercial Surveyor in managing and reporting on income and expenditure.
- Support the Lead Commercial Surveyor to deliver financial targets and business strategy ensuring regular reporting and that annual and 5 yearly targets are achieved.
What skills & qualifications you will need:
- Assoc RICS/ MRICS qualified
- A demonstratable track record of managing end to end process for disposals and acquisitions and estate management, or similar, to a high standard and to time constraints
- Experience visiting/ inspecting different types of land and property
- Excellent and demonstrable understanding of Health and Safety regulations
- Extensive knowledge and experience of the legal and regulatory requirements relating to the ownership, management, sale, purchase and leasing of land and property
- Extensive knowledge of regional property markets
- A track record of delivering results against challenging financial targets
- Excellent problem solving and negotiation skills
You will also benefit from having:

- Ability to work autonomously whilst being a team player achieving wider corporate outcomes and targets
- Knowledge of the water industry and/ or experience working in a regulated environment
