IT Support Engineer L2

 

Salary £24,422 to £29,658 + performance related bonus, based in Bradford with some travel around the Yorkshire region

 

Purpose of The Role:

This role will be to provide End User Computing (L2) services to the Kelda Group and associated partners.  You will work within EUC supporting our user base in a fast paced, high energy environment and must have a good degree of knowledge of Microsoft and other desktop technologies.  You must also possess experience of providing desktop end user support in a large corporate environment, be customer centric, create/maintain documentation and collaborate with not only the EUC team, but other teams within Service & Operations, IT and further afield.

 

Key accountabilities:

 

  • Provide L2 technical support across a wide range of technologies (hardware & software)
  • Possess a good understanding multiple desktop technologies
  • Build, deploy and support Windows & IOS based systems
  • Software Configuration and Deployments
  • Provide application/software support for an extensive range of products
  • Proactively respond to all logged tickets via the Service Management platform, adhering to SLA’s and providing excellent customer service
  • Support Audio and Video Conferencing Rooms
  • Maintain IT asset inventory, adhering to IT Asset Management process
  • Support the rollout of capital IT projects, representing the wider team to deliver an excellent customer experience.
  • Collaborate with local and remote support teams
  • Engage with partner IT organisations and 3rd parties to support hardware faults and deliver on agreed SLA’s
  • Onboarding of associates (device & application provisioning)
  • Associate moves (plan and execute the relocation of client assets) to meet business requirements where necessary
  • Adhere to all IT security policies and assistance in enforcing and monitoring of IT security policies
  • Produce and maintain documentation on system usage to aid other support staff and customers

 

What skills are we looking for?

 

You’ll need excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a passion for delivering a great customer experience.  You’ll also need to be analytically minded, with an ability to understand a customer’s problem and apply a solution. 

It is important that you can prioritise your own and your team’s workload in a dynamic environment, as you’ll sometimes be required to monitor incoming work and distribute to your colleagues. 

As well as being a great influencer, you’ll also be expected to make sound decisions in emergency situations and look for more effective ways of working.

As this is a technical support role, experience/awareness of the following is required:

 

  • Previous experience in an EUC L2 role is desirable
  • Demonstrable experience with Microsoft technologies across the board (e.g. Windows 10, Office365)
  • Device Imaging and build creation
  • Server exposure, Active Directory, File/Print servers, Citrix
  • Exposure and understanding of Cloud solutions, XaaS
  • Knowledge of networking protocols and principles
  • Experience with deployment technologies and device management (SCCM, Intune)
  • Ability to function well under pressure/be comfortable with delivering at pace
  • Self-motivated, organised and able to work on their own initiative
  • Show dedication to quality service levels for their stakeholders

As we’re a 24/7 operational business you’ll be required to take part in a formal shift pattern between the hours of 7am-6pm Mon-Fri.  In addition, you’ll be required to undertake 24/7 standby on a rota basis.
