Location: Knostrop / Hybrid Working including travel across the Yorkshire region.
Work type: Permanent. 37 hours per week, Monday – Friday.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Catchment Partnerships & Engagement Advisor to join the Water Service Delivery team at Yorkshire Water and be a part of helping Yorkshire Water to provide the best service to our customers. Could this be you?

Deliver world class asset and operational excellence by supporting effective catchment and raw water management. Through the development of effective partnerships and external stakeholder engagement that supports the Company’s delivery of effective catchment management, regulatory compliance; operational integrity and resilience; operational efficiency and business plan out-performance, whilst maintaining health and safety excellence.
Building trusting relationships with external stakeholders and being apart of catchment partnerships that with improve raw water quality. This will lead the development and implementation of engagement strategies to current and future raw water and catchment issues.
Where you fit in:
As our Catchment Partnerships & Engagement Advisor you will
• Design and lead external stakeholder engagement campaigns to ensure compliance with PFAS Undertaking and WINEP schemes across the region.
• Establish and manage internal and external stakeholder groups, including catchment focus groups and internal working groups, to support raw water quality improvements.
• Act as the primary liaison for catchment partnerships, engaging with communities, landowners, regulatory bodies, and other key stakeholders.
• Collaborate with internal teams such as Communications, Asset Management, and Service Partners to align efforts and share data effectively.
• Develop marketing and educational content with the Communications Team to raise awareness and promote water quality initiatives.
• Support and conduct catchment risk assessments, including DWSP assessments, using field data and stakeholder input to inform GIS analysis and strategy development.
• Represent the organization at stakeholder events and technical meetings, presenting data and advocating for catchment management improvements.
• Contribute to strategic planning and reporting, including input into WINEP and DWI schemes, and provide cover for the Raw Water Catchment Risk Manager when needed.
What skills & qualifications you will need:
• Degree in Geography/Environmental Sciences/Land Management or relevant technical work experience.
• Ability to develop and maintain effective internal and external relationships with stakeholders.
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to impart knowledge to wider business and catchment stakeholders.
• Understanding of catchment management and raw water processes.
• Proficient in the use of IT, particularly MS Excel for analysis of complex datasets.
• Outline knowledge or experience of Water Quality matters, including the Regulations, particularly those relevant to raw water issues.
• Experience in report writing.
• Rigorous attention to detail to ensure ‘right first time’ performance.
• Clearly demonstrates Yorkshire Water company values and behaviours.
• Full Driving Licence.
You will also benefit from having:
• BASIS Foundation award in Agronomy/ or experience in agricultural knowledge.
• Previous experience in a regulated environment.
• Previous experience gained within the water or wastewater sectors.
• Previous experience in embedding change.
• Proficient knowledge of corporate systems.
• Knowledge of YW risk policy and process.
• Competent GIS user.
