Location: Buttershaw, Bradford / Hybrid Working (2 days in the office a week )

As an Application Support Assistant you’ll play a vital role in supporting the Kelda Group and its partner companies by resolving IT issues through expert 2nd line support. Where you fit in:
As our Applications Support Assistant you will:
- Monitor and respond to automated system alerts, resolving issues proactively
- Perform regular system checks to identify and address potential problems
- Provide proactive support to maintain system stability and performance
- Collaborate with 3rd line development teams, sharing incident details to aid resolution
- Maintain and update the Knowledgebase and support documentation regularly
- Ensure all Service Desk entries are accurate and of high quality
- Deliver exceptional customer service aligned with the “Clearly the Best” standard
- Identify opportunities for innovation and efficiency improvements, and share with the team leader
- Adhere to IT Security policies and procedures
- Contribute to recruitment activities within the team
- Identify and address recurring issues by working with infrastructure, development teams, and external partners
- Use advanced technical skills to resolve complex issues
- Assist in managing support analysts in collaboration with the Application Support Manager
- Investigate and report security issues with discretion
What skills & qualifications you will need:
- Proven ability to manage and deliver robust, reliable IT services that meet agreed business needs
- Strong understanding of the application landscape and its dependencies within YWIT, with the ability to influence and guide
- Demonstrated expertise and willingness to share specialist IT knowledge across teams
- Familiarity with project and product lifecycles, including roadmaps and town plans
- Methodical and analytical approach to problem-solving
You will also benefit from having:
- Awareness of dependencies and risks in service delivery
- Ability to take a strategic view of planning and resource management
