We have a new opportunity within our Engineering Reliability business area for a Maintenance Business Partner to join the Service Improvement Team.

 

This role will be based in the Leeds area; however, you will be required to visit sites across the Yorkshire Region therefore a full valid EU driving licence is an essential requirement of this role.

 

The Maintenance Business Partner will be the key stakeholder liaison with various internal teams who will work closely with other business areas to create an active partnership with both Operations, Management and Leadership. You will provide real time support and analysis to be a trusted adviser and to add value that will assist in decision making.

 

The Maintenance Business Partner will be the key senior point of contact for all operational enquiries with ER, communicate fully to all teams and provide feedback as required. Working across all Business Units in order to manage risk consistently. As a Maintenance Business Partner, you will Interpret customer needs and create suitable business case and strategy to deliver improvements.

 

The Maintenance Business Partner will be responsible for driving and managing a team of Maintenance Business Liaisons to ensure a consistent approach to prioritisation across the assets.

 

You will represent ER during company escalations, providing advice and support on escalated, high profile or complex cases.

 

Knowledge and Skills required:

 

Essential:
•    Detailed knowledge and experience of ER processes.
•    Awareness of standards and performance in health & safety, risk management and control of work to ensure compliance with YW Safety Policy.
•    Experience of developing and maintaining effective internal and external relationships.
•    Has relentless drive, energy and determination to deliver sustainable outperformance for YW that rigorously achieves against Performance Commitments. 
•    Awareness of robust financial management and commercial awareness which form the foundation of all business decisions.
•    Experience of supporting and embedding change, able to influence and drive the right culture and behaviours.
•    Clearly demonstrates the Yorkshire Water company values and behaviours.
•    Experience of influencing & negotiating both within the company and externally.
•    University undergraduate degree (or equivalent) required.
•    Leadership skills.
•    Experience of coaching others.
•    Understanding of Water, Waste-water, Energy & Recycling and Network assets, sites and processes.

 

Desirable:
•    Experience of delivering against challenging business targets.
•    Sound knowledge of YWS standards, policies and procedures.
•    Water/Waste-water treatment/Engineering knowledge.
•    Competent in the use of SAP and work management systems.
•    Previous experience in a commercially orientated and / or regulated environment
•    Previous experience gained within the water or waste-water sectors or within the broader utilities, process or manufacturing industry sectors
