Senior Transition Analyst 

 

Salary:  £33,017 to £41,271 + pension + 25 days holiday
 
Location: Working from home during Covid & thereafter flexible/hybrid working arrangements including our Bradford/Leeds offices

 

Purpose of the role:

 

The Senior Transition Analyst is responsible for the building, developing, continual improvement and execution of the Service Transition processes within wider SDLC and overall project governance.  The role will ensure protection of the production IT environment by proactively resolving underlying issues and working with all other teams and squads to continuously improve service reliability.  


Interface with teams responsible for readiness activities and ensure the seamless delivery of requirements and support management of risks during the delivery lifecycle.  

 

What will the role involve:


•    Driving the Service first culture across the internal teams, partners, and suppliers.  Enhancing and ensuring that service excellence in everything that is delivered. 


•    Ensure the transition of solutions and services into production environment is based upon customer centric principles and maintain / enhance the customer experience. 


•    Manage the IT release process to ensure protection of the production IT environment by working with other TEC teams at the time of transition. 


•    Drive the development and improvement of the Service Transition strategy 


•    Own and co-ordinate the forward plan of TEC service changes, ensuring risk to continued business operations is understood and managed, whilst enabling delivery of capital programmes of work to cost and timescale. 


•    Coordinate the enablement of change via Service Transition and through change enablement into the live service. 


•    Drive Continual Service Improvement into all activities and work streams.  Pushing the Service First mantra as a business and service representative to deliver resolution of technical debt.


•    Ensure continual and management of risk, compliance and security that are raised during the service transition process. 


 
What skills are we looking for:


•    Experience working in a Service Transition or Service Management environment or similar, with knowledge of ITIL processes and principles.


•    Excellent knowledge and understanding of IT Service Transition planning. 


•    The ability to keep abreast of the ever-changing direction of IT operations technologies and services, and understand how best to exploit for business benefits 


•    You will have strong stakeholder management, negotiation, and conflict management skills


•    A clear communicator who delivers information in a considered and professional manner.

 

Desirable:


•    Qualified to a minimum of ITIL Foundation. 


•    Experience of working with DevOps, Waterfall or Agile methodologies.
