We currently have a vacancy for a Senior Occupational Health Advisor to join our Occupational Health Team in the West Yorkshire region.

The role will be based at our dedicated Occupational Health suite at our offices in Bradford, although the role is a flexible hybrid working arrangement, empowering our people to balance their time between home and office in a way that works best for them, their team, and their clients. You'll work onsite to undertake assessments as well as working from home on a diverse range of cases; no two days will be the same.

 

What will the role involve?

 

As a Senior Occupational Health Advisor, you will play a vital role in the health and wellbeing of our employees and use your specialist clinical skills to provide expert assessments and the right solutions for your clients.

 

 You will undertake complex case management in person and over the phone producing high standard and quality management advice reports.

 

You will complete onsite Health Surveillance which will include elements such as Spirometry, HAVS, lung function testing, health questionnaires, fitness for work assessments and working with our clients to maintain and develop the health and wellbeing of the workforce.

 

What skills and experience are we looking for?

 

Qualified or 1st level Registered Nurse, a diploma or degree in Occupational Health Qualification on part 3 of the register with the NMC.

 

Experience working in a large corporate occupational health setting, particularly with previous experience in complex case management and health surveillance.

 

Develops and leads on safe and competent practice.

 

Special Community Health Practitioner (Occupational Health).

 

Dynamic, self-motivated with the ability to react to changing work demands, prioritising workloads to maintain our operational effectiveness.

 

You will need to be able to work on your own initiative with minimum supervision and must be able to make effective decisions based on risk within agreed guidelines.

 

Confident in the use of different IT systems: including SAP and MS Office packages.

 

It is important that you have experience of working within a team and have excellent communication skills to be able to develop and maintain effective internal and external relationships. You will have the capability and confidence to challenge current ways of thinking, have a 'can do, will do' attitude and be able to embrace change.

 

A full, valid driving licence is required for this role (No more than 6 points).
