Enterprise Architect


Salary: Negotiable + Car/Car Allowance + Pension + 25 days holiday
 
Location: Working from home during Covid & thereafter Bradford with flexible/remote working arrangements


 

Purpose of the role:

 

To maintain a holistic perspective of the organisations strategy, processes, information, security and IT assets.  Joins up the business strategy and  processes to the IT strategy and ensures the  projects are integrated consistently, efficiently and  sustainably whilst aligning to the IT strategy and roadmaps. 

 

These are exciting times to be joining Yorkshire Water. Help with our transformation from a legacy on prem architecture to a modular architecture including microservices & Cloud offerings. We have started the journey but need a pragmatic Enterprise Architect to help with the transformation.

 

What will the role involve?

 

•    Align digital and IT strategies and planning with the organisations business goals and targets 


•    Anticipate future business needs and plan for how architecture will support/enable it


•    Streamline business processes, functions, procedures and workflows and apply a consistent implementation approach


•    Manage stakeholder engagement in the development of new processes and systems and verifies feasibility


•    Conduct post-implementation reviews to evaluate benefits accrued from new processes and systems


•    Build and maintain standards and enterprise architecture model and principles


•    Evaluate the impact of changes with the ecosystem of the organisation (inc political, technical, regulatory etc) on the enterprise architecture

 

What skills are we looking for?


•    Leads the creation and review of systems capability strategy the meets the strategic requirements of the organisation


•    Develops enterprise wide architecture and processes that ensure that the strategic application of change is embedded in the management of the organisation.


•    Develops and presents business cases, for high level initiatives, for approval, funding and prioritisation


•    Ensures compliance between business strategies, enterprise transformation activities and technology directions, setting strategies, policies, standards and practices


•    We are looking for pragmatic individuals (not theorists) who have an all-round blended experience & knowledge at both the tech & strategic/business level.


•    Captures and disseminates technical and business information


•    Creates technology roadmaps
