Location: Bradford / Hybrid Working (1-2 office a week), office move to Leeds (LS10) from Summer 2026

 

Work type: Permanent. 37 hours per week, Monday – Friday.

 

We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Analyst to join the Programme Management office at Yorkshire Water and be a part of helping Yorkshire Water to provide the best service to our customers. Could this be you?

In AMP8, Asset Delivery PMO will support a multi-billion pound programme of capital investment across YW’s clean and wastewater assets. The Capital Programme is growing by over 50% with strong efficiency targets.

 

We’re looking for a sharp, inquisitive, and solutions-driven Business Analyst to join our team. You’ll play a key role in bridging the gap between business needs and technical delivery—translating complex requirements into actionable insights and helping shape the future of our projects and operations which add value to our Asset Delivery teams and Yorkshire Water

 

Where you fit in:

 

As our Business Analyst you will:

 

  • Support the creation and maintenance of a Process Repository, ensuring requirements are captured, prioritised and gathered for all change projects
  • Processes documented, updated and optimised
  • Ensure change impacts assessed & projects are clearly scoped
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyse, and document business requirements
  • Translate business needs into clear functional specifications and requirements for delivery teams
  • Support project planning, scoping, and prioritisation activities
  • Conduct gap analysis, process mapping, and impact assessments
  • Facilitate workshops, interviews, and stakeholder engagement sessions
  • Work closely with PMO, developers, and testers to ensure successful implementation
  • Monitor project progress and support change management initiatives
  • Contribute to continuous process improvement and digital transformation efforts

 

 What skills & qualifications you will need:

 

  • Process mapping, improvement and engineering 
  • Requirements gathering (MOSCOW or similar) 
  • Process architecture 
  • Stakeholder management 
  • Creation of user stories & use cases
  • Proven experience of Visio
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex data for diverse audiences.
  • Effective organisational and time management skills.
  • You will be comfortable working in a team environment and confident of building effective working relationships.

 

You will also benefit from having:

 

  • Knowledge of the Water Industry and its regulatory framework. 
  • Experience of SAP
